Hey all you old-timers!

Have any of you pre-ordered BF1, or are you all still hanging on the fence about whether to pick it up or not? I spent several hours in the Beta, and had a great time with it. Maybe this will be a good title to bring some of you out of retirement.

I wasn't too keen on BF4's movement mechanics, as it didn't feel fluid, but I can say at least to me that BF1 feels a lot more like BF3 did movement wise, which is very much a good thing. Add the ability to vault over walls now instead of just short objects, and that you can run through doors, this go around looks like movement will be all around better than before.

I have preordered the premium this time, so will be playing on the evening of Oct 17th and 18th. I will try to get my PC updated and situated so that I can stream my gameplay if anyone wants to watch.

I'm still alive. I'll probably get it. Any word if we are able to port over friends from BF3 or BF4?

Yep! You'll have the same origin friends in bf1 as well. Also, the squad functionality is better in bf1 too, you don't have to fight for free spots to be in the same squad now, as it will join the squad at the same time and create a new server squad to put everyone in. You also move servers together as there's a party mechanic outside of servers. Seemed much easier to play with friends in the Beta vs older bf games.

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well and had a good summer. I won't be getting it on PC, I do have it pre-ordered on ps4 though cause I got a wicked deal on Amazon a few months ago.

Just saw some new footage from JackFrags today, the setting looks awesome and makes me super excited. Ea early access started today, so there will be lots of new footage coming soon. Also, at 7:42 you can see the Kolibri pistol, which has to be the new replacement for a humiliation kill like the defib or repair tool. What is this!?!? A gun for ants?!?!
