It's a fairly average SSD. If you want to go Samsung I'd recommend their Pro series. There is a price jump, but you get faster speeds and it has MLC NAND (vs the TLD NAND of the non-pro) which will wear down slower after all the read and write cycles. However, at that price and capacity point, there is nothing better.

Another thing to think about is the fact that many games get a negligible increase in loading time. BF3 is one of them that does get a speed increase, but there are others that do not. I found that a 256GB SSD allowed enough room, so long as I kept a majority of my games on a large 2TB storage drive (ie Steam games). More often than not, SSDs in the 240-256GB range are faster than their larger counterparts. I have the prior generation Samsung 830 SSD, the 256GB model.

Food for thought.

Here is arguably the fastest SSD on the market currently. It's also $100 cheaper than the one you listed, albeit half the capacity.

Thanks for the info. Is this the same thing from B&H
www.bhphot...&Q=add&is=REG&A=cart

It's cheaper here and I believe it takes paypal where amazon does not.

I see it is the same thing... B&H offers a 2and3year warranty , should I take them up it if I buy it? Do these break down much? What say you?
